Clinical Psychology Services
Therapy can provide an opportunity to better understand yourself, work through current challenges, and develop new ways of responding to the situations life brings.
I believe effective therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, compassion, and collaboration. My practice focuses on helping adults, couples, and LGBTQ+ individuals explore concerns that may be affecting their emotional well-being, relationships, and day-to-day lives.
Together, we identify areas of concern, explore patterns that may be contributing to difficulties, and develop practical strategies for creating meaningful change.
Individual Therapy and Counseling
Individual therapy provides a confidential and supportive environment to explore concerns, gain greater self-understanding, develop coping strategies, and work toward meaningful goals.
You may seek therapy because you are experiencing a specific concern, navigating a difficult transition, struggling with relationships, or feeling that something in your life needs to change.
Treatment is individualized according to your needs, circumstances, and goals.
My Approach to Therapy
You have unique experiences that shape who you are and how you respond to situations. Some experiences can contribute to positive growth, while others may contribute to patterns of thinking, feeling, or behavior that become difficult over time.
My approach is collaborative and focused on helping you gain insight, develop new skills, and make meaningful changes when appropriate.
Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help clients explore the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing skills related to coping, communication, emotional regulation, and problem-solving.
My goal is to provide a comfortable, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your experiences openly and feel empowered to make changes that align with the life and relationships you want to create.
LGBTQ+ Affirming Care
I provide a respectful and affirming therapeutic environment for LGBTQ+ individuals and couples.
Therapy may provide an opportunity to explore identity, relationships, coming out, gender-related concerns, family dynamics, discrimination, and other experiences that may affect emotional well-being and relationships.
Treatment is individualized and focused on your needs and goals.
Gender-Affirming Care Evaluations
I provide gender-affirming care evaluations for adults seeking psychological documentation in support of gender-affirming medical care.
When appropriate, documentation or a letter may be provided following an evaluation and based on the individual's circumstances and the requirements of the receiving healthcare provider or program.
Evaluations are provided through secure telehealth for eligible adults located in Illinois. If you are seeking documentation, it can be helpful to determine what type of letter or documentation your healthcare provider requires before scheduling an evaluation.
Telehealth Services
All sessions are currently conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.
I am licensed to provide psychological services in Illinois and California. Telepsychology may also be available to eligible clients in participating PSYPACT jurisdictions, subject to applicable authorization requirements.
Telehealth allows you to participate in psychological services from a private and convenient location while maintaining a professional and confidential therapeutic environment.
